Formed originally in 1990 under the name of Crisis Management Company. Its expressed purpose was saving companies and jobs. What in management has been called turnarounds has been the mainstay of the business. As it grew, CMC also became involved in the startup and growth needs of companies. As such, and, to more closely reflect the expanding needs of its clients, the name was changed some years ago to Management 2000, Inc. (M2000). Management 2000's experience in recognizing and correcting business crisis situations put it in a uniquely qualified position to redirect companies away from trouble as they plan for future successes. We've seen both sides.
Although historically a result of organizational and operational issues, today's risk and loss can just as easily be the result of computer-based crimes. The theft or damage to Electronically Stored Information (ESI) such as intellectual property, trade secrets, and/or personally identifiable information on customers or employees can result in immediate and long-term losses. This can have a financially debilitating impact on a company. To meet this challenge, M2000 has created a separate division (M2000/IS) which focuses on computer forensic investigations and in identifying and correcting vulnerabilities.
